Overview

We help clients make confident, datadriven decisions in a fastchanging market. In this role,you will lead actuarial work across Casualty reinsurance for clients throughout EMEA.

You will combine deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of market dynamics to support strategic decision-making and solution design.

Based in Munich or Cologne, you will work closely with broking, analytics, and international teams to deliver practical, client-focused outcomes. You will also play a key role in shaping how we approach Casualty risk, supporting both client delivery and the development of our wider proposition.


How you'll make an impact

In this role, you will:

  • Lead actuarial analysis and insight for Casualty reinsurance programmes across EMEA
  • Support the design and optimisation of reinsurance structures for Casualty portfolios
  • Translate complex data and model outputs into clear recommendations for clients and brokers
  • Work closely with broking teams to support placement strategies and market engagement
  • Provide subject matter input on Casualty trends, portfolio performance, and risk drivers
  • Contribute to the development of actuarial tools, methodologies, and data-driven approaches
  • Support cross-border projects with colleagues across multiple locations
  • Act as a key point of contact for actuarial topics within Casualty, both internally and externally
  • Contribute to strengthening client relationships and identifying new opportunities


About you

Here’s what you will bring to the role:

  • Experience working in an actuarial environment with a focus on Casualty lines, for example in reinsurance, insurance, consulting, or broking
  • Knowledge of Casualty products, pricing, reserving, and risk behaviour across portfolios
  • The ability to structure and interpret complex data for decisionmaking
  • Experience using actuarial models and quantitative methods
  • Confidence working with data and analytical tools
  • Membership in an actuarial association, e.g. the “Deutsche Aktuarvereinigung (DAV)”
  • Fluency in German and English, with the ability to work confidently in both languages
  • A collaborative approach to working with teams across different locations
  • The ability to take ownership of topics and move them forward
