(Senior) Test Automation Engineer (m/f/d) - LPS Sports
YOUR OPPORTUNITY
We are a cross-functional team developing a Local Positioning System (LPS) based on Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology to enable our player and ball tracking solution. To capture and provide precise position and motion data in the sports environment, we are developing a full stack of software components, including firmware, backend, and frontend applications.
Join our dynamic team to scale existing solutions for our low latency sensor network architecture and create innovative KINEXON products in collaboration with your colleagues from our software and hardware departments!
OUR TECH STACK
Our diverse tech stack allows us to develop robust and efficient services. Here is a breakdown of the technologies we use:
- Backend: Relevant backend services are written in C++, Golang, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript
- Building & Testing: We utilize GitLab's built-in CI infrastructure to build and run all kind of automated tests, both within a Kubernetes cluster and on standalone servers. For C++ component testing we use the GTest framework and for full integration & end-to-end testing we heavily rely on the Python BDD testing framework, along with additional tooling in Python
- Deployment & Automation: We use a Docker & Ansible based workflow to manage our deployments, CI runners and manufacturing
YOUR TASKS
As a Test Automation Engineer in our agile LPS team you will
- Support all levels of automated software testing across our product: Unit-testing, system-testing and release testing in black-box and white-box approaches
- Maintain and shape our GitLab CI infrastructure
- Design and improve our automated end-to-end system test infrastructure in collaboration with hardware developers
- Define test criteria and analyze test reports together with your colleagues
- Automate the evaluation and reporting of continuous integration test results
- Get the freedom and opportunity to really create a robust and reliable end-to-end system test environment
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- A solid understanding of bash and python scripting
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks, Docker and Ansible automation
- Some experience with electronics, soldering simple circuits
- Enthusiasm to understand and thoroughly test complex systems
- You have been working with Linux operating systems and Linux infrastructure and tooling in the past
- You are excited to dive into new software & hardware territory
- You are fluent in English or German
- You are a reliable team player willing to take on responsibility and move the team & product forward with your own solutions
- The willingness to come to the office in Munich most day
