- Analysis of system requirements from customers, stakeholders, regulations and standards.
- Development of a system solution for space applications that integrates electrical, electronic, software and mechanical systems.
- Derivation of the system design and definition of interfaces.
- Technical leadership in the preparation of quotations, creation of feasibility and system performance analyses
- Identifying system costs with a focus on design-to-cost, OTD, OTC, OTQ.
- Creating system specifications and concepts for the system design.
- Responsibility for development plans at the system level.
- Creating technical risk assessments.
- Managing development partners, including technical subcontractor management.
- Coordinating the development activities of various departments and providing technical leadership for the project team.
- Continuous coordination with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, purchasing, project management and stakeholders.
- Technical monitoring of budgets, schedules and resources
- Coordination of cross-departmental creation of technical documentation.
- Coordination within the core project team (project management, production, quality) and conducting design reviews (e.g. CDR, TRR, IRR)
