Role Purpose:
Responsible for designing, integrating, and optimizing network architectures for communication between space assets to ensure secure, resilient, and high-performance data transmission.
Key Responsibilities
- Design network architectures for space (ISLs, user access, feeder links)
- Define and implement routing protocols (DTN, IP over space links, autonomous routing)
- Integrate the space network, including management and control functions
- Collaborate with engineers to embed network capabilities into spacecraft systems
- Optimize network performance (latency, bandwidth, orbital dynamics)
- Support simulation and validation of network behavior in mission scenarios
- Coordinate subcontractors and oversee technical requirements
- Contribute to innovative R&D initiatives in space communication
