We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. Wir suchen einen hochmotivierten und detailorientierten Engineering-Techniker zur Verstarkung unseres Teams in Stuttgart. In dieser praxisorientierten Position ubernehmen Sie eine zentrale Rolle bei der Konzeption, dem Aufbau, der Erprobung und der Wartung unserer Prufstande sowie unserer Prototypen-Fahrzeuge und -Plattformen - von PKW uber LKW bis hin zu Offroad- und Sonderfahrzeugen. Bei Applied Intuition werden Sie:

• Den Aufbau unserer Prototypen am Standort Stuttgart verantworten

• Prototypen-Plattformen und Fahrzeuge konzipieren und aufbauen - sowohl PKW und LKW als auch Sonder- und Offroad-Fahrzeuge

• Weitere Techniker anleiten und koordinieren, aber auch selbst Hand anlegen - sei es beim Aufbau initialer Prototypen oder beim Aufbau einer Flotte baugleicher Testfahrzeuge anhand bestehender Aufbauplane aus Stuttgart oder unseren anderen Standorten

• Fehler an Fahrzeugsystemen, Computerkomponenten und Sensoren beheben, Ursachenanalysen durchfuhren und Kalibrierungen vornehmen

• Ein Inventarsystem fur alle Komponenten und Laborbedarf verwalten und so fur Ordnung und Effizienz sorgen

• Den Beschaffungsprozess fur Schlusselkomponenten steuern und Beziehungen zu wichtigen Lieferanten pflegen

• Im Team zusammenarbeiten, um Ausfallzeiten der Fahrzeuge zu minimieren und dabei Sicherheit und Leistung stets in den Vordergrund stellen

• Den Aufbau von Prototyping-Kapazitaten an unseren weiteren EMEA-Standorten sowie bei unseren Kunden vor Ort unterstutzen

Wir suchen jemanden, der mitbringt:

• Mindestens 2 Jahre technische Erfahrung in den Bereichen Maschinenbau, Elektrotechnik, Informatik, Automobiltechnik oder Robotik

• Nachgewiesene Fahigkeit, Prototypen, elektrische Verkabelungen und Kabelkonfektionen gema technischen Vorgaben aufzubauen

• Fundierte Kenntnisse im Lesen von Schaltplanen und Datenblattern fur eine korrekte Interpretation und Umsetzung

• Erfahrung in der Erstellung und Pflege detaillierter Montageanleitungen - fur Klarheit im Team und als Referenz fur die Zukunft

• Praktische Erfahrung in einer Werkstatt-, Labor- oder Montageumgebung, mit nachgewiesenen Lotkenntnissen und einem hohen Qualitatsanspruch

• Vertrautheit mit Werkstattausrustung, 3D-Druckern und Kfz-Diagnosegeraten

• Begeisterung fur neue Technologien und die Fahigkeit, in einem schnelllebigen Umfeld erfolgreich zu arbeiten

• Ausgepragte Organisations- und Kommunikationsfahigkeiten sowie eine strukturierte Arbeitsweise im Umgang mit dem Bestandssystem

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Technician (Kfz Mechatroniker fur Prototypen) to join our team in Stuttgart. This hands-on role will play a crucial part in supporting the design, buildout, testing, and maintenance of our test rigs and platforms. At Applied Intuition, we encourage team members to take ownership over technical and product decisions, and contribute to a thoughtful, dynamic team culture.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

• Troubleshoot vehicle systems, computer components, and sensors, performing root cause analysis and calibration.

• Manage an inventory system for all components and lab supplies, maintaining organization and efficiency.

• Manage the procurement process for key components and maintain relationships with key suppliers.

• Work collaboratively to minimize vehicle downtime while prioritizing safety and performance.

We're looking for someone who has:

• 2+ years of technical experience in mechanical, electrical, computer, automotive, or robotics industries.

• Proven ability to assemble prototypes, electrical wiring, and cable assemblies according to engineering instructions.

• Strong understanding of electrical schematics and datasheets, ensuring accurate interpretation and implementation.

• Experience documenting and maintaining detailed assembly procedures for clarity and future reference.

• Practical experience working in a shop, lab, or assembly environment, demonstrating proven soldering skills and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

• Familiarity with shop equipment, 3D printers, and automotive diagnostic tools.

• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organization and communication skills, effectively collaborating with team members and maintaining an accurate inventory system.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Python or other programming languages, enhancing troubleshooting and automation capabilities.

• Understanding of ROS and Linux operating systems, contributing to software integration and testing activities.

• CNC, machining, metalworking, and welding skills, allowing for advanced fabrication and repair tasks.

• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance, providing additional problem-solving expertise.

• Practical experience with AV components like LiDARs, radars, and cameras, ensuring comprehensive understanding of the vehicle systems.

• Ability to design, draw, and prototype custom harness cables, contributing to innovative solutions.

• Familiarity with CAD software (Solidworks preferred) for navigating, designing, or modifying 3D models.
