Your Tasks

Are you passionate about Linux systems, automation, and scalable infrastructure? As a System Engineer, you'll help shape the backbone of one of Europe's largest email platforms-serving over 42 million users across WEB.DE, GMX, and mail.com. Join a team that's building a European alternative to email and cloud services, committed to privacy, digital sovereignty, and operating under European law.

Do you enjoy working with Linux and modern automation tools? Are you excited by the idea of building reliable infrastructure that powers millions of users? Want to contribute to a high-performance environment with a real impact?
  • You build and manage Linux servers (primarily Debian) on bare-metal and virtualized platforms.
  • You operate core infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, PXE boot, and proxy systems.
  • You automate infrastructure tasks using tools like Ansible and Puppet.
  • You develop and maintain scripts in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • You enhance monitoring and logging systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
Your Profile

Do you have a degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience? Are you confident in Linux system administration and passionate about automation and clean infrastructure? Do you thrive in collaborative, agile environments? We believe the following skills and experiences will help you to be successful in this role:
  • Solid experience in Linux system administration and infrastructure operations.
  • Proficiency in automation and configuration management tools (Ansible and Puppet).
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with core infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, PXE, and proxies.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset and a passion for building reliable, scalable systems.
