Systems Operations Engineer

We are currently seeking an External Systems Operations Engineer to join our team on a full-time B2B remote basis, working with one of the largest payment processing companies in the market, a leading fintech player powering high-volume, mission-critical platforms.

As an Systems Operations Engineer, you will:

• Operate and support scheduled system jobs and data integration processes
• Monitor batch jobs, interfaces, and data pipelines to ensure reliable daily operations
• Set up proactive monitoring, alerts, and health checks to detect and prevent issues
• Investigate job failures, data conversion errors, and system inconsistencies
• Perform incident analysis, escalation, and recovery in collaboration with internal teams
• Contribute to ensuring high availability and operational continuity
• Document operational processes, runbooks, and monitoring standards
• Support continuous improvements in monitoring, automation, and system reliability

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience with job schedulers and automation tools (e.g. VisualCron, Control-M, cron)
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
• Familiarity with file-based integrations (FTP/SFTP, CSV/XML/JSON processing)
• Experience with log analysis, monitoring, and alerting tools
• Solid understanding of production operations, incident handling, and root cause analysis
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English
