Key points of the position:
Reporting to the engineering and program teams, you will be responsible for Product Assurance activities across the full lifecycle of space hardware, with a strong focus on ECSS compliance, qualification, and production follow-up.
You will play a key role in safeguarding product quality from early development phases through manufacturing, qualification, and delivery, acting as a senior PA reference within the organization.

Reporting to the engineering and program teams, you will be responsible for Product Assurance activities across the full lifecycle of space hardware, with a strong focus on ECSS compliance, qualification, and production follow-up.
You will play a key role in safeguarding product quality from early development phases through manufacturing, qualification, and delivery, acting as a senior PA reference within the organization.
As a Product Assurance Engineer, your missions will include:
- Leading Product Assurance activities throughout development, production, and qualification phases of space hardware
- Acting as a senior PA interface with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program teams
- Leading and supporting root cause analysis, NCR, CAPA, and NRB activities
- Ensuring full compliance with ECSS standards and customer requirements (ESA, institutional programs)
- Conducting, reviewing, and approving FMEA / FMECA at system and equipment level
- Overseeing product testing, validation, and environmental qualification (vibration, thermal, TVAC, etc.)
- Supporting and leading internal, customer, and supplier audits
- Developing, reviewing, and approving PA documentation (PA Plans, inspection plans, test procedures, qualification reports, EIDP)
- Managing MRRs, TRRs, and major project reviews
- Participating actively in PDR, CDR, QR, and acceptance milestones
- Contributing to continuous improvement of PA processes and quality practices across projects
Necessary skills:
- You have around 10 years of experience in Product Assurance or Quality Engineering within the space or aerospace sector
- You have strong and proven experience applying ECSS standards in an ESA or institutional space environment
- You have solid knowledge of Product Assurance, Safety, Reliability, and Quality Management disciplines
- You are experienced with non-conformance management, NRBs, audits, and qualification activities
- Experience with configuration management, quality auditing, or assessor certification is appreciated
- You are comfortable working with technical documentation, design reviews, and project milestones
- You are able to work autonomously while collaborating effectively in a project-driven, fast-paced environment
- You are detail-oriented, rigorous, and proactive, with the ability to handle complex technical interfaces
- Fluent English is required; German is a plus but not mandatory
Salary:
80-95k euros gross annual, depending on experience.
