The recruiting company:

Our client is a European start-up specializing in electronic warfare, secure communications, and precision localization technologies for the defense sector.

Key points of the position:

Reporting to the engineering team, you will design advanced signal processing algorithms that transform complex RF data into reliable sensing and tracking capabilities for defense systems.

As an Algorithm Engineer, your missions will include:

  • Designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms for radar sensors operating in complex and noisy environments,
  • Developing algorithms capable of processing signals from continuously moving sensor platforms, including digital stabilization and ego-motion compensation,
  • Implementing advanced filtering and tracking techniques to enable reliable detection and continuous target tracking,
  • Extracting meaningful signals from cluttered environments and mitigating multipath interference,
  • Developing mathematical models and simulations to prototype and validate algorithmic approaches,
  • Collaborating closely with hardware, embedded software, and field testing teams to analyze real-world sensor data and improve algorithm performance.

Necessary skills:

  • You must have strong expertise in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and radar system fundamentals,
  • You have experience working with moving sensor platforms and signal processing techniques such as Kalman filtering, target tracking, or synthetic aperture radar concepts,
  • You are highly proficient in Python or MATLAB for modeling, simulation, and algorithm prototyping,
  • You have a strong understanding of RF signal behavior and physical propagation constraints,
  • Experience with Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology is highly appreciated,
  • Knowledge of embedded implementation or C programming for microcontrollers is a strong plus,
  • Fluent English and German are required.

Eligibility for German security clearance (SÜ2/Ü2) is required: German or EU Citizenchip mandatory.

Salary: 80-120k euros gross annual.
