What you'll do
  • Manage and lead laboratories including a team of lab technicians and develop novel renewable carbon-based adhesives, sealants, and coatings
  • Ensure safe laboratory work and operations in compliance with all relevant standards
  • Contribute to Henkel's technology leadership in advanced circular adhesives by identifying opportunities for new technologies, products, and performance improvements, and ensure appropriate IP protection
  • Steer and facilitate knowledge sharing while supporting project teams in problem-solving across Henkel Adhesives Technologies
  • Lead external collaborations with partners such as lab service providers, custom manufacturing partners, suppliers, start-ups, and academic institutions
  • Drive and leverage digital transformation within the team, including the proactive adoption of digital lab management tools and other digital solutions for daily lab activities


What makes you a good fit
  • PhD degree in Chemistry
  • 5 years of relevant work experience and deep know-how in chemical synthesis and/or formulation of adhesives, sealants or coatings
  • Passion for new scalable technology and raw material synthesis in the context of circular economy
  • Convincing and influencing presentation skills
  • Strong collaborator within multifunctional teams across regions
  • Agile working mindset to manage different projects in diverse technology fields
  • Fluent German and English skills
