NNIT's Digital Manufacturing unit partners with leading Life Sciences and pharmaceutical companies to drive the digital transformation of manufacturing operations. As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our team and are looking for a Principal Consultant with strong expertise in PAS-X (MES) and recipe design, combined with professional fluency in German, which is essential for this role.

This is a client-facing role with significant responsibility, where you will lead workshops, drive structured process analysis, and deliver high-quality MES solutions in regulated environments. The position follows a hybrid working model, combining remote work with travel to client sites across Europe, primarily within German-speaking countries.

Your Responsibilities
Lead customer workshops to analyze manufacturing processes within pharmaceutical and Life Sciences environments
Design, structure, and optimize PAS-X recipes in alignment with GMP-regulated processes
Configure and implement PAS-X / MES solutions, including relevant system integrations
Define and integrate interfaces to automation level 2 systems (e.g., MSI, OPC, PCS, SCADA)
Ensure seamless integration with higher-level systems, including ERP platforms
Translate business and manufacturing requirements into clear functional and technical solution designs
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing professional consultancy throughout the project lifecycle
Contribute to project planning, effort estimation, and delivery governance
Mentor junior consultants and actively support knowledge sharing and capability development within the team

Your Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working with MES / PAS-X in Life Sciences or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Proven experience in PAS-X recipe design and system configuration
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes in GMP-regulated environments
Experience with system integrations across automation level 2 systems (MSI, OPC, PCS, SCADA) and enterprise systems (ERP)
Solid knowledge of MES architecture and its interaction with surrounding systems
Demonstrated experience facilitating workshops and conducting structured process analysis
Strong project management capabilities and ability to manage stakeholders across multiple organizational levels
Excellent documentation, communication, and client engagement skills
Professional fluency in German is a mandatory requirement for this role
Professional working proficiency in English is expected
