Advisory & Financing Solutions (A&FS) is UniCredit's center of excellence for Corporate Finance, M&A Advisory and Capital Markets transactions in top-level strategic dialogues. Sectors Advisory within A&FS follows an integrated industry and M&A origination and execution approach with in-depth knowledge of Telecommunication/Media/Technology, Industrials/Mobility, Consumer, Healthcare & Retail as well as Natural Resources, Utilities & Infrastructure sectors for investment banking and corporate clients.

What you'll be doing

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced As ssociate Director (AD) to join our team in Germany . As a relevant member of the group, you will play a critical role in originating, executing, and managing complex M&A transactions across multiple sectors. The ideal candidate is a strong deal driver with outstanding analytical, execution, and clientfacing skills, and capable of leading teams. T he ability to act in a product-agnostic fashion , and to introduce all relevant product areas of the bank , is essential to deliver the best outcome for our clients.

Deal Execution & Transaction Leadership

  • Independently l ead day-to-day project management of live M&A transactions, including buyside, sellside , strategic advisory, carveouts, and crossborder mandates.today project management of live M&A transactions, including buyside, sellside , strategic advisory, carveouts, and crossborder mandates.
  • Oversee valuation analyses (DCF, LBO, trading and transaction comps), financial modelling, and strategic assessments.
  • Set up and m anage due diligence workstreams, coordinate with legal, tax, accounting, and other thirdparty advisors.
  • Prepare, review, and deliver highquality materials including information memoranda, management presentations, board materials, and pitchbooks.
  • Act as focal point, bringing together client needs, senior banker demands, and enabling teams to perform to the highest analytical and professional standards


Client Coverage & Relationship Building

  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, including CEOs, CFOs, corporate development teams, and private equity investors.
  • Support senior bankers in maintaining and expanding client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and originating mandates.
  • Develop deep understanding of client needs to provide strategic and actionable M&A advice.


Team Leadership & Development

  • Mentor, coach, and supervise Associates and Analysts, ensuring quality output, efficiency, and professional development.
  • Work collaboratively with internal product partners (financing, ECM, DCM , coverage ) to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Uphold a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork.


What you'll need to succeed

Required Qualifications
6-8+ years of experience , ideally in Investment Banking with a primary focus on M&A transaction execution . Candidates with backgrounds in Transaction Servjces , Assurance or similar streams will also be considered.

Proven track record leading complex transactions and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities with mastery of valuation methodologies.

Excellent communication skills-confident in presenting to senior executives and leading client discussions.

Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing junior team members.

Ability to thrive in a fastpaced , highpressure environment with strong attention to detail.paced , highpressure environment with strong attention to detail.

Fluent oral and written German (at least C1 standard, documented), fluent oral and written English.

Preferred Skills

Proactive mindset with strong commercial instincts and origination potential.

Strong network among and working knowledge of corporates, private equity, and advisors. Sector expertise (e.g., TMT, Industrials, Consumer, Healthcare) is a plus but not required . Experience working on cross border transactions and familiarity with international dealmaking dynamics.
