Corporate Treasury Sales at UniCredit is a specialized team dedicated to delivering strategic risk-management solutions in foreign exchange (FX), interest rate derivatives, commodity and CO ₂ hedging, and investment products. Within a small subteam, we are responsible for the Corporate Digital Development activities, which ranges from managing the systems for an automated sales-trader workflow for pricing and booking trades, client advisory, client facing systems for communication, FX risk management and FX and Commodity trading, as well as Data Analytics to support sales within opportunity identification.

What you'll be doing
As an intern in our Corporate Digital Development Team, covering the Data & AI initiatives, you will apply analytical, technical, and creative problem-solving skills to strengthen Corporate Treasury Sales. You will work on real datasets, real clients (internally), and real market products, and contribute to the digital transformation of one of the bank's most client-facing businesses.
Your work will focus on:

2. Artificial Intelligence & Advanced Analytics
3. Data & Opportunity Visualization

During your internship, you will receive a monthly compensation of EUR 2,400 gross based on full-time employment, which meets at least the applicable statutory minimum wage. This applies regardless of whether the internship is mandatory or voluntary.

What you'll be doing
As an intern in our Corporate Digital Development Team, covering the Data & AI initiatives, you will apply analytical, technical, and creative problem-solving skills to strengthen Corporate Treasury Sales. You will work on real datasets, real clients (internally), and real market products, and contribute to the digital transformation of one of the bank's most client-facing businesses.
Your work will focus on:
1. Data Analytics & Insights Generation
- Analyze client transaction data, exposures, financial behavior, and hedging patterns
- Identify client opportunities using statistical models and analytical frameworks
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations for Corporate Treasury Sales specialists
2. Artificial Intelligence & Advanced Analytics
- Support the design and implementation of AI models that detect patterns in corporate client risk profiles, as well as deepen analysis of client exposure and hedging portfolios
- Assist in developing early-warning indicators, propensity-to-hedge models, and personalized product suggestions
- Collaborate with teams exploring machine learning use-cases across UniCredit, including dynamic pricing models
3. Data & Opportunity Visualization
- Use business intelligence tools (Power BI, Python dashboards) to create intuitive visualizations
- Build interactive dashboards highlighting KPIs, market trends and client opportunities
- Help convert complex data and market dynamics into simple, client-ready pitches
What you'll need to succeed
- Academic background in a quantitative field such as computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics or a related discipline
- Proven practical experience with databases (SQL) is necessary and knowledge of at least one programming language is a prerequisite (preferably Python, Typescript, C#)
- Experience with data visualization - including Business Intelligence software such as PowerBI
- Hands-on experience in applying Artificial Intelligence techniques (ChatCompletion, Vector Stores, RAG and Agent Frameworks)
- Interest in working within heterogeneous data and system landscape
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve and structure complex tasks
- General understanding of risk management products offered to Corporate Clients, such as FX Forwards and Options, Commodity Swaps and Interest Rate Derivatives
- Relation to the financial sector/banking through specialization during studies, internship or training would be beneficial
- Fluent in English, good knowledge of German and/or Italian
