Failure Analysis Engineer (m/f/d)
Be the meticulous problem-solver with a detective's eye for detail, driven by sophisticated experimentation, rigorous data analysis, and seamless collaboration across engineering teams. Prevent future defects, enhance product performance, and ultimately elevate customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
As an ESMC - Failure Analysis Engineer, you will be at the forefront of defect prevention and resolution. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Lab Infrastructure & Capability: Define, design, and continuously enhance the Failure Analysis (FA) Lab's infrastructure and capabilities to expertly support product defect, yield, and reliability failure analysis for Fab products. Able to build and maintain FA Lab capacity, ensuring readiness for analytical demands.
2. Operational Leadership: Lead a lab team in executing routine FA monitoring, providing event troubleshooting, and verifying Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) initiatives.
3. Advanced Analytical Expertise: Apply your deep theoretical understanding and hands-on proficiency with a range of advanced failure analysis techniques, including TEM, SEM, FIB, SIMS, and XPS.
4. Specialized Knowledge Development: Develop and advance specialized FA knowledge across critical areas such as semiconductor processes, process/yield improvement strategies, defect analysis, packaging, and physical failure analysis.
5. Continuous Support: Provide essential on-duty support during holidays (expected 1-2 times per month) to ensure continuous laboratory operation and critical problem resolution.
6. Adaptability: Remain flexible and adaptable, executing work assignments as specified by company reassignments.
Job Qualifications
1. Education: Master's degree or PhD in the field of science or engineering.
2. Experience: Greater than 5 years of working experience with several of the following techniques: FIB, TEM, SEM, SIMS, XPS, and their related analysis methodologies.
3. Team-oriented collaboration: Proactive, generous knowledge sharing to achieve shared success.
4. Interpersonally Effective: Effective and clear communication and collaboration with team members, superiors, and peers across all levels.
5. Detail-focused mindset, highly motivated to take responsibilities, adaptability & open-minded to new perspectives and adapting approaches to find optimal solutions, resilience under pressure.
6. Language: Fluent in English (company language). Basic communication skills in Mandarin or German are a plus.
7. Training: Available for on-the-job training in Taiwan, 6 to 9 months.
