European Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (ESMC) GmbH is the joint venture between TSMC, Bosch, Infineon and NXP. For the first time, global technology leader TSMC is building a semiconductor fab in the heart of Europe, offering cutting-edge manufacturing technologies for next-generation semiconductor products. ESMC represents a shared commitment to strengthening the European semiconductor ecosystem.

For our future fab in Dresden, we are looking for a highly motivated and committed:

(Senior) Operations Resource Planning Engineer (m/f/d)

In this role, you will work at the interface between production, supply chain, and operations, ensuring that manufacturing runs according to plan. Instead of relying on assumptions, you will use data to understand capacity, identify bottlenecks, and support decision-making in a complex production environment.

You will be closely aligned with production teams and contribute to coordinating resources, monitoring performance, and improving processes. The role is less about pure coordination and more about understanding how production systems work and translating data into actionable planning.

Job Responsibilities

1. Support Production & Capacity Planning: Analyze production data to understand capacity, identify bottlenecks, and support stable and efficient production flow.

2. Drive Data-Based Decision Making: Monitor and interpret key operational KPIs (e.g. WIP, cycle time, tool performance) to identify improvement opportunities and support planning decisions.

3. Coordinate Across Functions: Act as an interface between production, procurement, and logistics to align resource availability with production requirements.

4. Ensure Resource Availability for Production: Track the status of critical tools and materials to support production ramp-up and ongoing operations.

5. Support New Product Introduction (NPI): Integrate pilot lots and new technologies into production planning while maintaining operational stability.

6. Contribute to Layout & Process Optimization: Support FAB layout planning (AutoCAD) and contribute to improving processes for better resource utilization.

Job Qualifications

1. Educational Background: Degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

2. Strong Analytical Mindset: Ability and interest to work with data, identify patterns, and derive structured conclusions in a production environment.

3. Basic Data Handling Skills: First experience or strong interest in tools such as Excel (advanced), SQL, or Power BI is an advantage.

4. Understanding of Operations or Production Environments: Initial exposure (e.g. internships, projects, thesis) to manufacturing, operations, or process-driven environments is a plus.

5. Communication Skills in an International Environment: Ability to communicate clearly and in a structured, data-driven way with cross-functional teams.

6. Mindset & Working Style: Hands-on, proactive, and willing to take ownership in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Ability to adapt priorities and work on multiple topics in parallel.

7. Fluent English is required, German is a plus.

Willingness to complete a mandatory training program of min. 5-6 months in Taiwan.

Applicants must have a valid work permit for Germany at the time of application.

Location: Dresden, Germany.

Please apply with English resume.

Each journey starts with a first step.

Joining ESMC at this early stage will provide you with the unique opportunity to actively shape the future of the fab in Dresden, boost your career and put your true potential to the test. You will be working in a fast paced, international startup environment whilst at the same time having access to the experience, talent, and resources of the largest and most advanced semiconductor manufacturer in the world, TSMC. You have ample opportunities to learn about TSMC Operations, Digital Transformation, and various advanced Facilities related topics, both in Taiwan and other sites around the world.
