Regional Category Buyer Metals EMEA (m/f/d)

What are your main tasks?

• Analysis and evaluation of procurement markets for the respective purchasing category
• Execution of a company-wide, international demand analysis
• Consolidation of requirements and execution of tenders
• Handling of requests for quotation, offer comparisons, evaluations, and QAF analyses for series and future series materials in the category, considering price, quality, delivery performance, and technology
• Negotiation of prices, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers
• Preparation of decision templates for awarding contracts in various internal committees (e.g., International Sourcing Table, project team)
• Coordination with all relevant departments, such as project purchasing, management, engineering, controlling, legal, accounting, logistics, etc.
• Execution of process and value analyses with selected suppliers
• Participation in make-or-buy decisions
• Contribution to supplier evaluations

What are your qualifications?

• Completed university degree (commercial or technical) or completed vocational training with relevant further education (e.g., technician or business administrator)
• Several years of professional experience in purchasing
• Fluent English skills; additional foreign languages are an advantage
• Very good knowledge of MS Office and SAP
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong cost awareness and analytical approach
• Assertiveness
• Goal-oriented, experienced, and independent working style
• Willingness to travel
• Strong team skills in working with colleagues and superiors
• Initial experience in the metals sector is an advantage
