(Sr.) Engineer for Bushing Engineering Design (M/F/D)
You will be responsible for
- Engineering responsibility for chassis bushings incl. engine mounts across European vehicle programs from concept to SOP and beyond
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure design compatibility and clear target definition
- Prepare concept designs and drive system and component development to meet agreed targets
- EO / ECR preparation and drawing release in close collaboration with suppliers
- Coordinate with manufacturing plants, quality and purchasing to ensure production readiness and quality requirements
- Scout and develop new technologies in collaboration with suppliers and through industry conferences
- Propose improvements to existing components as well as enhance and expand development standards
- Close cooperation with our R&D Center in Namyang (South Korea)
Who we are looking for
- Degree in mechanical/automotive engineering
- Minimum 5 years of professional automotive industry experience ideally with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier
- Proven expertise in bushing and engine mount technologies (hydraulic, standard rubber mounts, elastomeric components)
- In-depth knowledge of automotive OEM R&D and production processes including design, validation and homologation
- Hands-on experience in system level integration of bushings and mounts within chassis systems and vehicle powertrains
- Ability to define performance targets, design specifications and durability requirements for bushing and engine mount
- Familiarity with simulation and testing methods, e.g. NVH analysis, fatigue testing and vibration characterization
- Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis of bushing or engine mount performance issues
- Excellent communication skills, able to prepare technical reports, proposals and presentations in English language
- Preferred: experience with advanced or emerging mount technologies (e.g. active mounts, magneto-rheological mounts)
- Willingness to travel (including mid/long-term trips to Korea), valid EU Driving license B, Software: CATIA V5 / PLM / BOM
