BASIC FUNCTION

The Key Account Manager acts as the central focus for assigned automotive accounts to maximize the design and sales of all Bourns products, is also responsible for the management and coordination of assigned automotive account activities at the assigned customers. Fullfilling the functions as strategic planner and coordinator for assigned accounts, responsible that customer and market requirements are considered and taken care of within the company.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibility as Key Account Manager Automotive for customers:

Cummins, Knorr Bremse, TI Automotive, Phinia and Bing:
  • Key Account Manager with responsibility for European sensor and components business and projects.
  • Annual turnover Europe 2025: $5.5M (40% components VW CPTC / 60% sensors JLR RPS & EV inverter)
  • Cooperation with account managers for customers in Asias and USMCA
  • Plan is to assign further customer after some year of good performance and experience at Bourns


General duties:
  • Set up strategic growth plan
  • Coordination of quotes
  • Perform of regular business reviews


INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

The Keay Account Manager must be able to develop and maintain strong relationship with customers and sales teams. Flexibility and high energy level required, same as team selling approach. Extended experience in the Automotive environment is prerequisite.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English required to present ideas, concepts and solutions to assigned accounts problems and Bourns Management. Demonstrated presentation skills required. Other languages are an asset.

EDUCATION: Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Master in Electronic. Engineering or Economics or equivalent.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Automotive sales experience for minimum 5 years to Tier 1, 2 or OEM for sensors or (passive) components with contract negotiations is a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Database experience is required.
