Quality Engineer (m/f/d)

We - MT Aerospace - are part of the OHB Space and Technology Group. As a leading international aerospace company, we develop, manufacture and test essential components for launcher programs such as Ariane, the U.S. Space Launch System (SLS) as well as commercial launcher systems, the Airbus fleet, spacecrafts, satellites and defense applications. Thanks to globally unique manufacturing technologies, we create high-performance products made of metal and fiber composites, such as large load-bearing structures and cryotanks, lightweight structures and fuel as well as pressure tanks that combine maximum performance with minimum weight. We currently employ around 600 people at our headquarter in Augsburg and at the launch site in Kourou (French Guiana).

Your Tasks

• Quality assurance support for aerospace projects during the development and production phases
• Preparation of quality assurance documents, coordination with the customer
• Evaluation and approval of specifications and test results
• Monitoring of internal and external processes
• Conducting First Article Inspections (FAI)
• Evaluating deviations and damage analyses; initiating and tracking corrective and preventive actions
• Conducting product acceptance tests with the customer; preparing the necessary acceptance documents
• Knowledge of common 3D printing processes is desirable

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or technician, preferably in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or comparable knowledge
• Several years of professional experience in an aerospace company
• Basic training in quality management
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and EN 9100 standards
• Facilitation and teamwork skills
• Good written and spoken English skills
• Proficiency in MS Office applications / SAP
• Independent, structured, and goal-oriented work style
