YOUR TASKS

As part of this master's thesis with a pre-internship, youwill investigate the influence of siloxane vapours on electrical relays. Therole combines hands-on experiments, technical analysis and the development ofmeasures to increase reliability in electronics manufacturing.

• Hands-on Experiments: You will carry out practicalinvestigations on electrical relays exposed to siloxane vapours and evaluatethe effects on their function.
• Literature Research and Familiarization: Part of yourwork will be to familiarize yourself with the current state of the art inprocess technologies, materials and design approaches.
• Standardized Test Procedure: You will optimize anexisting test setup in order to establish a more standardized test procedure.
• Material and Process Analysis: Your responsibilitieswill also include material analysis and the characterization of volatilesiloxanes.
• Optimization Potentials: You will identify promising approaches for cost reduction and efficiencyimprovement in electronics manufacturing and derive countermeasures to increasereliability.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Enrollment: You are enrolled at a university duringyour time at HELLA and have not yet started or completed your final mandatoryacademic requirement.
• Field of Study: You are studying mechanicalengineering, forming technology, materials science, physics, chemistry or acomparable field.
• IT Skills: You have basic MS Office skills and canwork confidently with emails and documents.
• Material Knowledge: Ideally, you have knowledge ofsilicone materials and electrical relays.
• Analytical Skills: You have a strong interest in theanalysis of assembly and joining technologies as well as automotive products.
• Soft Skills: Enthusiasm, team spirit and the abilityto work independently complete your profile.
