About the position: This position is located at the Ramstein Club Complex in Ramstein AB, Germany.
This position is ineligible for Logistical Support.
The purpose of this position is to mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages from a full-service bar.
Physical Effort: Requires frequent light to moderate lifting and carrying of objects weighing 5-15 pounds, pushing and pulling objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds and occasionally lifting up to and over 40 pounds.Qualifications:Who May Apply: Open to everyone. The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is U.S. Citizens and legal U.S. residents in Germany. In accordance with the Status of Forces Agreement between Germany and the U.S., you must be a U.S. citizen or citizen of a NATO country with a U.S. permanent resident card in order to be eligible for NAF employment. Citizens of Germany (including dual citizenship if Germany is one of the countries) as well as "ordinarily resident" US citizens are not eligible for NAF employment per SOFA agreement. If not already in the commuting area, must be able to verify the ability to arrive before a firm job offer can be sent.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients such as liquors, soda water, sugar, bitters, and fruit and the ability to mix exotic drinks. Must be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed. Must be able to follow cash handling procedures. Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing 5 to 15 pounds, pull and push objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to and over 40 pounds. Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages. Must be able to communicate clearly and possess skill in dealing with public.
Education:Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
