Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer / Electrical Lead
PM Group have a great opportunity as Senior Electrical Commissioning Engineer / Electrical Lead Manager for a major hyperscale data centre development in Frankfurt, Germany.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical commissioning activities associated with LV, MV, UPS, generator, STS, EPMS, and critical power infrastructure.
- Support development, review, and approval of commissioning scripts and integrated testing procedures.
- Coordinate and witness Level 0 through Level 3 testing activities in accordance with project commissioning requirements.
- Support management and execution of Level 4 Functional Performance Testing and Level 5 Integrated Systems Testing activities.
- Participate in energisation planning, switching coordination, arc flash reviews, and electrical safety management.
- Interface with vendors, utility providers, contractors, and design teams to resolve technical issues during commissioning.
- Support readiness reviews, First of a Kind inspections, integrated systems testing, and final turnover activities.
- Assist with commissioning reporting, issue management, and closeout documentation through ACC and Cx Alloy systems.
Qualifications
- Degree or trade-qualified electrical engineering background.
- 7+ years’ experience delivering commissioning activities within mission critical or hyperscale data centre environments.
- Experience commissioning MV/LV systems, UPS systems, generators, EPMS platforms, and critical distribution infrastructure.
- Experience supporting utility energisation activities, substations, and ring-fed distribution systems.
- Knowledge of electrical safe systems of work, LOTO procedures, permit systems, and switching operations within live critical environments.
- AP/SAP or equivalent electrical switching experience desirable.
- Experience supporting LEED commissioning and energy performance verification activities desirable.
- Experience using digital commissioning management systems and Common Data Environments preferred.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Fluent English required. German language capability desirable.
