Junior QA Manager Sports (m/f/d)

THE ROLE

Be part of the Kinexon Sports team and take on a key role in ensuring the quality of our innovative sports technologies. As a QA Manager, you work closely with developers, product, and customer service teams, testing our solutions from a user perspective and guiding releases from initial test requests through to final approval. Your goal: seamless performance across software, firmware, and hardware-delivering the best possible user experience.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and drive quality assurance across our product portfolio (LPS, GPS, IMU)
  • Design, execute, and continuously improve end-to-end testing strategies covering hardware and software
  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate on-site tests (e.g., live testing of LPS systems in sports environments)
  • Perform hands-on testing of devices, firmware, and software platforms under real-world conditions
  • Collaborate closely with product management and engineering to provide structured feedback on new features and improvements
  • Identify, document, and track bugs, ensuring high product quality and stability
  • Act as a bridge between development and customer-facing teams, supporting complex issue analysis
  • Contribute to building scalable QA processes and improving testing methodologies

YOUR PROFILE

  • Strong interest in sports and technology, ideally with a hands-on mindset
  • You have gained initial practical or theoretical experience in a technical environment and/or have a technical background
  • High level of persistence and curiosity when analyzing and solving complex issues
  • Excellent communication skills (English is a must, German nice to have) and the ability to mediate between cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, product, customer success)
  • Structured and detail-oriented approach to testing and quality assurance
  • Willingness to be physically active during testing scenarios when required (e.g., participating in field tests)
  • University degree in sports science or a related field, or equivalent practical and technical experience
  • Located in Munich and the ability to come to the office on a weekly basis

Nice to have:

  • Experience in QA, testing, or product validation (hardware and/or software)
  • Basic programming knowledge, including the ability to read code, logs, and API/network outputs
  • Understanding of sports data and metrics, with the ability to validate statistics and their visualizations
  • Familiarity with sports tracking technologies, sensor systems, or wearable devices
  • Experience with bug tracking tools and QA processes
