We are partnering with a leading US multinational company with a strong global presence, specialized in industrial machinery solutions for the fresh produce sector.
With a solid track record in innovation and technology, the company provides advanced equipment and solutions for sorting, inspection, and processing of fruit and vegetables, working closely with key players across Europe and worldwide.
We are currently looking for an Area Sales Manager to lead business development and sales activities across the DACH region and Benelux, with a strong focus on Germany and the Netherlands. The position is ideally based in the Ruhr region (Germany).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand business opportunities across the assigned region (Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and nearby markets)
- Drive sales of industrial solutions, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure
- Take ownership of revenue, gross margin, and account receivables within the region
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, with particular focus on strategic accounts in the Netherlands
- Identify new market opportunities and contribute to the growth strategy of the business
- Collaborate closely with Field Service, Engineering, and Marketing teams to deliver tailored solutions
- Support customers during project phases (including FAT/SAT when required)
- Promote products and solutions through customer visits, technical presentations, and trade fairs
- Provide regular and accurate reporting using CRM tools and internal processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and market intelligence
Requisitos
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales, preferably within industrial machinery, automation, or agri-food sectors
- Understanding of the fresh produce / horticultural industry (knowledge of berry/blueberry sector is a strong plus)
- Fluent German (C1 level) is mandatory
- Fluent English (C1 level) is mandatory
- Spanish is not required, but highly valued
- Technical or business education (Engineering, Agronomy, Business Administration or similar)
- Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce is a plus)
- High level of autonomy, proactivity, and strong commercial mindset
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time across the region
