PhD Student / Research Assistant (f/m/d) on "Geothermal Energy"
Karlsruher Institut für Technologie
Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg 76006, Germany
Vollzeit
Reference: 1157112090
Your Tasks
As part of the BMFTR collaborative project LangRes - Long-term behaviour of coupled reactive transport processes in deep hydrothermal reservoirs - you are conducting flow experiments using geothermal reservoir rocks from Germany. In doing so, you are collecting data to improve our understanding of dissolution, precipitation and particle transport processes. Changes in the reservoir rocks over the operational lifetime of hydrothermal systems play a central role in this context. The experimental data collected form the basis for further reactive transport models using innovative AI modelling approaches.
You will be working on a collaborative project with national partners from academia and industry. The LangRes consortium aims to improve process-related predictive capabilities for reservoir utilisation through simulation calculations.
There is an opportunity to pursue academic qualifications with the aim of obtaining a PhD within an international team of scientists.
