(Mid & Senior) Backend Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Mission

As backend engineer, you'll commit your technical talents to our industry-leading SaaS team. This role invites you to help shape our engineering culture and, of course, our platform. It also comes with ownership: we expect you to take responsibility and grow!

Your Responsibilities

• Focus mainly on the design and development of our RESTful backend services
• Support the quality management of our codebase and introduce new features and technologies
• Help innovate a SaaS application and own the entire process chain: from software design to deployment in the cloud
• Collaborate closely with other departments, forming cross-functional teams to shape new features in their early stage

Your Profile

• A degree in computer science, completed training as an IT specialist, or comparable knowledge from practical experience
• At least 3 to 5 years experience in backend and web development
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Good knowledge of Java, Hibernate, Spring (Boot) and SQL
• Knowledge of when and what to test (Unit Tests, E2E Tests)
• A passion to learn and experiment with new technologies
• A "you build it, you run it" mentality
• The ability to work autonomously and result oriented
• Strong written and spoken English

Bonus points if you:

• Have experience in database design
• Worked with AWS
• Have infrastructure-as-code experience
• Like to automate routine processes
