Kongamek is a Swedish manufacturer of material handling solutions for the European market, committed to easing daily work through its promise, "Your Workmate". Its range of 800+ standard products includes trolleys, roll containers, pallet frames, wire baskets, wheelbarrows, sack trucks, and warehouse trolleys, complemented by customised solutions that improve customers' operations. With modern automated production and a strong focus on quality, ergonomics, and sustainability, Kongamek is a true total supplier in material handling.
Our focus is to strengthen our position across Northern Germany, France, and Benelux, and to deepen relationships with both existing and new customers, across workshop, warehouse, and logistics environments. To help drive this journey, we are currently looking for an Area Sales Manager to join our team.
To further strengthen our market position in Germany, we are working with Business Sweden, the official Swedish trade and investment promotion organisation. This recruitment is carried out from their German office in Berlin.
From our office in Lübeck, or from a home office in Germany, you will join our commercial organisation and report directly to the CCO. The role covers Northern Germany, France, and Benelux, and involves a high degree of travel across the territory.

The role includes both strategic, tactical, and operational responsibilities such as:
- Identify existing and potential customers and develop long-term relationships to increase the company's market share and become the total supplier of our standard products. This includes customer visits and invitations to Konga.
- Plan, schedule, and conduct an average of at least 5 customer meetings per week with clear objectives and follow-up.
- Identify and approach customers where custom production is relevant.
- Submit quotations, conduct negotiations, and draw up agreements with customers and partners to secure business.
- In consultation with the CCO, develop and implement sales strategies to maximize profitability and minimize costs.
- Document customer activities, meetings, and business opportunities in the CRM system and report sales activities continuously to the CCO, with accuracy and responsibility.

- Provide support and take ownership to ensure high quality delivery on time, from first customer contact to signed agreement and follow-up.

- A problem solver who easily adapts to different markets, customer needs, and business cultures across Northern Germany, France, and Benelux.

Formal requirements
- You have experience from B2B sales with full ownership of the sales cycle: prospecting, customer meetings, quotations, negotiations, and contracts.
- You have experience from working internationally and can handle differences between markets, business cultures, and customer requirements.
- You have experience working structured and data-driven in CRM, with activity planning, pipeline management, and reporting.
- Good command of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- A high level of proficiency in written and spoken German, French and English is required.
- A valid driver's licence and a very high willingness to travel are required.
- Experience from sales involving custom production, configuration, or tailored customer solutions is meriting.
