About the position
The Junior Tax Associate supports tax-related activities within the EMEA region and operational VAT and accounting-related activities in Emsdetten
The role is a support function and does not carry independent ownership of tax policies, tax structures, group-level processes or systems.
The position is designed for an early-career professional looking to develop foundational experience in tax and finance within a multinational environment.

Your main responsibilities

A. LVE Tax Responsibilities (approx. 60%)Reporting to: Head of Tax EMEA
- Support the Head of Tax EMEA in tax-related matters across EMEA entities.
- Prepare draft analyses, summaries and documentation for review.
- Prepare documentation for internal meetings and external discussions.
- Assist in monitoring tax compliance status and identifying potential issues.
- Conduct preliminary research on tax law developments and regulatory changes.
- Support Group Tax and Head of Tax EMEA in the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation.
- Assist in collecting and organizing data for intercompany transactions in line with Group Tax guidance.
- Support tax-related projects (e.g. audits, restructurings, internal initiatives) under guidance.
- Coordinate inputs from internal stakeholders and external advisors as required.

B. VAT & Finance Responsibilities - Emsdetten (approx. 40%)Reporting to: Finance / Accounting Emsdetten
- Prepare VAT declarations for defined legal entities under supervision of Finance / Accounting.
- Support day-to-day VAT-related questions and clarifications in coordination with local teams and external advisors.
- Assist in VAT audits and inquiries from a documentation and coordination perspective.
- Coordinate inputs from internal stakeholders and external advisors as required.
- Support Finance / Accounting with tax-related inputs to statutory accounts where required.
- Support internal tax reporting into AARO by preparing data, reconciliations and documentation for review.
- No ownership of accounting processes, statutory reporting or systems.
VAT execution
Accounting & reporting support
Cross- functional collaboration:
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and other internal teams across EMEA.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to support timely and accurate deliverables.
- Help maintain communication and alignment across group entities in line with defined responsibilities.

A suitable background would be the following in terms of qualifications and experiences:
- A degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Initial experience or internships in tax, finance, or accounting, ideally in an international context.
- Basic understanding of tax regulations and compliance processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal). Additional European languages are an advantage.
