The Senior Expert IT Provider Management (m/f/d) is responsible for ensuring the effective governance, performance, and strategic alignment of external IT service providers with the organization's business objectives. This role acts as a key interface between internal stakeholders and external providers, ensure fulfillment of contracted services, driving value creation, risk mitigation, and compliance across all provider engagements. The position focuses on optimizing contractual agreements, monitoring service delivery, and fostering long-term partnerships that support innovation, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.

- Strategic Alignment: Ensure provider services are aligned with IT strategy and business objectives.
- Governance Framework: Design, implement, and maintain governance structures for IT providers, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance.
- Provider Onboarding & Contract Renewals: Support the selection and onboarding of new providers, conduct due diligence, and manage contract renewal processes.
- Performance Management: Define and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and compliance requirements to guarantee service quality and ensure fulfillment of contracted services.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Oversee contractual, financial, and operational risks while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Cost Optimization: Negotiate, benchmark, and manage provider contracts throughout their lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for service optimization and innovation in collaboration with providers.
Show your expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, IT, or a related field, with 10+ years of experience in IT provider management or similar roles
- Strong experience in contract negotiation, provider management, and IT procurement processes, including software licensing models
- Proven ability to establish and manage IT governance frameworks, provider management structures, and operational models
- Solid understanding of IT landscapes and technologies at a holistic level
- Knowledge of contract law, data protection regulations, and risk & compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problemsolving skills with a resultsoriented, ownershipdriven mindset
- Fluent in English and German, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills up to executive level, experienced in matrix and globally distributed organizations
