Food Service Worker Barista (Woodlawn Golf Course)

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Woodlawn Golf Course in Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

This position does not offer Logistical Support.

The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of manual tasks in food preparation and food service areas. Frequently lifts or moves objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Continuous standing, walking, frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending.Qualifications:Who May Apply: Open to everyone. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Food service experience in a coffee shop or restaurant is required. Must be able to follow oral instructions, be able to use hand tools for cleaning, and operate simple machines. Must be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgment in sequencing tasks. Must have knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food, and for cleaning equipment and work area. Ability to resolve common arithmetical problems and make change when receiving payment from customers. Must be able to continuously stand and walk and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull, or bend for long period of time. Must be able to communicate with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public.Education:Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
