Partnership & Relations Manager (m/w/d)

The Partnership & Relations Manager establishes, develops, and manages strategic partnerships with universities, research institutes, suppliers, customers, and ecosystem players to enhance the innovation output and market success of power electronics solutions from the Nürnberg Power Electronics Innovation Lab.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify, prioritise and acquire strategic partners (academic, industrial, technological and start-up) that are aligned with the innovation roadmap and business objectives of the Power Electronics Innovation Lab
• In close collaboration with Legal, Purchasing, and Business Development, structure, negotiate, and maintain cooperation agreements, NDAs, framework contracts, and joint development arrangements
• Act as the primary relationship owner for selected key partners, organise regular steering meetings, and ensure alignment on content, timelines, and mutual value creation
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including other Alpitronic entities such as engineering, product management, venture activities and operations, to prepare and execute joint projects, pilots and demos with partners
• Monitor partnership performance using clearly defined qualitative and quantitative KPIs (e.g. joint projects, time-to-market impact, access to technology, commercial impact) and propose adjustments or phasing out where needed
• Represent the Innovation Lab at external events, conferences and industry networks, actively scouting for new collaboration opportunities and trends
• Ensure that all partnership activities are cleanly documented, including governance structures, decision logs and contractual commitments

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Degree in engineering, industrial engineering or business administration or a comparable field. A combination of technical and business experience is preferred
• Several years' experience in business development, key account management, strategic partnerships or ecosystem management in an industrial, high-tech or consulting environment is required, ideally in the power electronics, semiconductors or adjacent technologies sector
• Strong understanding of technology-driven innovation processes and the ability to translate technical topics into partnership concepts and value propositions
• Proven track record in building and managing long-term B2B relationships, including negotiating collaboration agreements and aligning different stakeholder interests
• High degree of ownership, reliability and professionalism in managing external relationships and representing the Innovation Lab towards partners
• Excellent communication and networking skills with the ability to operate confidently at different hierarchical levels (from technical experts to senior management) both within and outside the company
• Collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset with strong intercultural awareness and the capacity to balance company interests with sustainable partnership value
• Very good spoken and written English skills; German and/or Italian are a plus
