Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer Cloud Landing Zones (m/f/d), you will contribute to the further development of software for products and services together with a team of experts.

  • You support the development process from technical design through implementation, with a focus on build and deployment processes
  • You perform testing, including technical documentation
  • You conduct performance analysis and tuning, as well as error analysis and troubleshooting
  • You support the automation of infrastructure and software, as well as the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions
  • You collaborate on projects


Profile

You bring the following advanced and in-depth technical expertise and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a comparable qualification
  • Very good English skills, as English is the team and hub language
  • Two years of experience in cloud, platform, DevOps, or SRE roles, or comparable experience
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform, preferably GCP, including core services such as Compute, Storage, IAM, and basic networking concepts
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js, as well as shell scripting
  • Understanding of version control with Git and basic knowledge of CI/CD
  • Initial experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or comparable solutions
  • Knowledge of containers (e.g., Docker) and microservices concepts
  • Curiosity and interest in modern technologies, especially cloud, agile methods, and DevOps
  • Willingness to learn new topics, make mistakes, and grow from them as a team
  • Enjoyment of working on diverse topics in an interdisciplinary team and strong intrinsic motivation
  • Ability to visualize and communicate ideas, such as architectures
  • Very good German and English skills


Nice to Have

  • Hands-on labs or projects on GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Entry-level certifications or ongoing preparation, such as Google Associate Cloud Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or Azure Fundamentals
  • Basic knowledge of networking (e.g., HTTP, TLS, load balancing), databases (SQL/NoSQL), and platform security and IAM
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Cloud Monitoring/Logging, Prometheus, or Grafana


This position is also available on a part-time basis.
