Wet MQM / RSP Scientist (m/f/d)

Job Description:

The Wet MQM/RSP Scientist role is part of the Regional Wet Raws and Formulation Team. It has key interfaces regionally with the Wet Product Development & Implementation team (PDI), the Wet Technology Development and Implementation team (TDI), SQA and sourcing managers in Commercial as well as with the wet Site R&D teams and regional Q&FS. The role also interfaces with the Central Raw materials team and other regional RFM teams.

What will be your key responsibilities?
Responsible for management of WAP (Wet Animal Protein) raw material portfolio which covers:

• develop understanding and knowledge linked to the WAP portfolio across all relevant applications, functioning as the key point of contact for technical questions
• responsible for delivering robust WAP specifications & risk assessments, maintenance and improvement of the documentation of existing raw materials in-line with MQM including joint responsibility with the commercial, SQA, sites and the Central team to ensure they consistently deliver the required quality and performance
• optimization and harmonization of WAP portfolio to improve cost, quality, and performance.
• responsible for BCM (business continuity management in case of raw material scarcity within WAP portfolio) initiatives
• new WAP development for a variety of projects (innovation, renovation, supply cost savings, new supplier validation..) including raw material analysis, trials and validation up to factory scale by cross functionally collaborating with PDI, site R&D, SQA, COM etc.
• supporting the idea generation within WAP portfolio for DiB opportunities
• supporting the deployment of global mandates, standards and recommendations

Act as a trusted MQM expert

• Attend raw material management CoPs (with SQA, COM, site, Q&FS, etc) and manage the stakeholders external to R&D, primarily in the supply and commercial teams.
• Responsible for being a key user and ensuring our raw material systems are fit for purpose e.g. Veritas, Nexus
• Responsible for RSP; development raw material surveillance plan, execution and data analysis on regular cycles as aligned in the business

What are we looking for?

• University degree in Science with experience in a technical field - ideally in the raw material area
• some years of job experience in the areas of raw material development, engineering, or a technically related discipline - ideally in a number of these areas over the period of time.
• Good command in English (verbally and written).
• Excellent interpersonal skills, e.g. communication, relations building, networking, team spirit.
