About the Role

We are looking for an experienced System Developer (m/f/d) SysOps / DevOps - Kubernetes to join a technology-driven organization operating large-scale business-critical systems. You will play a key role in building, operating, and continuously improving modern infrastructure platforms while supporting software development teams through automation, monitoring, and DevOps best practices.

This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy taking ownership of systems from development through operations and thrive in agile, collaborative environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, operate, and continuously enhance a Kubernetes platform.
  • Manage and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Administer and maintain Linux-based environments.
  • Configure and manage virtual machine platforms using Puppet.
  • Design, implement, and maintain monitoring and observability solutions.
  • Deploy and operate central infrastructure components including RabbitMQ, LDAP, and Keycloak.
  • Build and support developer tooling environments such as GitLab, SonarQube, and Nexus.
  • Ensure high standards of IT security through patch management, vulnerability management, CNAPP solutions, and penetration testing support.
  • Participate in system rollouts and on-call support rotations.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams following DevOps and agile methodologies.

Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Econometrics, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.
  • 4-5 years of experience in system engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
  • Solid expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Extensive Linux administration experience.
  • Confident working with Linux command line and shell environments.
  • Programming and scripting experience.
  • Experience with database administration.
  • Strong ownership mindset ("You build it, you run it").
  • Experience working in agile teams, ideally with Scrum.
  • Fluent German (C1/C2) and good English (B2).
