Based in Germany, this role offers the opportunity to shape and maintain a robust compliance framework while collaborating with a diverse and dynamic team.
How you'll make an impact
You will be leading the charge in embedding a culture of compliance and ethical conduct. You’ll develop and enforce compliance policies, conduct audits, and provide advisory support to ensure adherence to European and local regulations. By monitoring regulatory changes and performing impact analyses, you’ll help the business anticipate and adapt to new requirements.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the primary point of contact with regulators, representing the business during inspections and audits.
- Providing guidance and training to employees on compliance matters, ensuring they understand their responsibilities under relevant regulations.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align compliance efforts with organisational goals and mitigate risks.
- Investigating and resolving compliance-related complaints or issues raised by customers, employees, or regulatory authorities.
About you
Here’s what you’ll bring to the role:
- A bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field. A professional compliance certification is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of European insurance regulations, compliance frameworks, and risk management systems.
- Extensive experience in compliance or risk management within the insurance industry, including managing regulatory audits and developing compliance policies.
- Ability to explain complex regulatory issues in simple terms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A high level of integrity and ethical conduct.
- You must have the right to work in Europe.
