Job Description

We are looking for a strong communicator and commercially driven leader to accelerate the next wave of authentication solutions in Central Europe.

As Senior Manager, Authentication & Passkeys, you will lead the strategy, scaling, and monetization of Visa's authentication portfolio; with Passkeys (Visa Payment Passkey), EMV 3DS, and emerging identity capabilities at the core.

Crucially, you will connect authentication with the future of Agentic Commerce: enabling trusted, seamless payments in AI-powered, autonomous journeys.

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of Product, Sales and Innovation, shaping how Visa leads ecommerce experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy & Growth - From Authentication to Agentic Commerce
  • Translate global and European authentication strategy into clear, high-impact Central Europe priorities
  • Position Passkeys as the foundation for secure, frictionless, and agentic checkout experiences
  • Identify and scale next-gen opportunities across authentication, digital identity, and AI-driven commerce
  • Drive the evolution from authentication as a control point to authentication as an enabler of invisible commerce


2. Go-to-Market & Commercial Acceleration
  • Lead end-to-end commercialization of authentication solutions (VPP, EMV 3DS, risk-based authentication)
  • Build strong Passkey-led narratives that resonate with issuers, merchants, and acquirers
  • Embed authentication into strategic CE set-plays (e-commerce growth, premium journeys, agentic commerce pilots)
  • Partner closely with Sales to build pipeline, unlock deals, and drive revenue impact


3. Client Leadership & Market Influence
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior clients on authentication strategy and next-gen checkout experiences
  • Lead executive conversations on topics like Passkeys, digital identity, and Agentic Commerce
  • Position Visa as the leader in passkey, AI-enabled commerce experiences
  • Represent Visa externally and shape the market narrative on authentication and trust


4. Cross-functional Execution at Scale
  • Drive complex initiatives across Product, Sales, Marketing, Risk, Legal, and Client Services
  • Ensure seamless alignment between Europe product roadmaps and local execution
  • Navigate regulatory and market dynamics (PSD2/3, SCA) while enabling innovation


5. Performance & Impact
  • Own clear KPIs: adoption, approval rates, fraud reduction, transaction uplift, revenue
  • Track progress against strategic OKRs and continuously optimize commercial impact
  • Deliver crisp, executive-ready insights to senior leadership

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • Experience in payments, fintech, digital identity, or authentication-related domains
  • Proven track record in product strategy, go-to-market, or client-facing roles
  • Native German Speaker
  • Strong understanding of authentication ecosystems (EMV 3DS, FIDO/passkeys, PSD2/3, SCA, fraud & risk)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional programs through influence
  • Strong Stakeholder skills: experience engaging senior stakeholders and delivering executive-level communication
  • Passion for innovation in agentic commerce, and next-gen payment experiences
  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen and execution discipline
  • Location: Frankfurt, Germany
  • Travel: The position requires travel 10%-16% of the time
  • Work environment: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days per week in the office)
