Job Description
Summary:
Reporting to the VP HR EMEA Commercial, and dotted into the Managing Director of Germany, the role will define the local HR strategy to attract, motivate, reward and retain employees in Germany. The role will manage and execute on generalist HR activities such as partnering with managers on HR topics, driving and providing guidance related to recruitment, employee relations, salary planning, incentive plan's, policy- and procedure creation/adjustment, HR continuous improvement activities, drive global HR processes, site communication and general administration. The role may also support the Cluster VP with coordination of certain HR activities across the Cluster. The role will finally participate in HR projects as assigned.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field (HR, Business)
• Minimum 3-5 years experience as HR Business Partner / HR Manager in international company
• Experienced with unionized environment and Works Council
• Knowledge of remuneration practice and employment law
• Mastering all relevant subsystems of HR role (hard and soft skills), including HRIS system (Oracle a plus)
• Excellent in communication and culture understanding
• Excellent leadership skills and Business Acumen
• Role model for the AMMEGA Values
• Good organization, analytical and problem-solving
• Proven track record of meeting commitments in a fast-paced environment
Excellent computer skills incl. MS Office
Fluent in English, written and verbal.
Accountabilities:
Individual accountabilities:
• Define a Roadmap for the German HR department with key initiatives, including Projects and Continuous Improvement activities to further develop and advance our HR function.
• Support the Managers in employee management (Business Partner approach), fostering and monitoring a correct communication, in line with AMMEGA values and aimed at fostering high motivation and high performance
• Lead the hiring process ensuring its transparency and effectiveness, from candidate selection up to onboarding phase
• Ensure that all activities aimed at employee administration are properly set
• Review and plan that required Competencies are aligned with role requirements, providing assessment, gaps detection and suggest appropriate training plans
• Ensure the alignment between internal policies/documents and local labor law including legal case handling
• Responsible for local implementation of HR Global Policies and Processes, in the field of Leadership Development, Comp&Ben, Budgeting and Reporting
Shared accountabilities:
• Ensure clear 'One HR' approach in conjunction with HR colleagues across EMEA
Key linkages & interfaces / most important stakeholders:
• Site Managing Directors, Cluster Directors and their reports in the site
• HR Corporate team members
• External service providers and government agencies
Success parameters:
Ability to successfully partner with business leaders to support acheiving business goals.
Leading your HR department and associated activities on time in compliance with local regulation and global policies.
Scope of role:
• Direct reports: 1 part time HR Payroll & Admin Specialist, 1 HR apprentice
• Approx 200 FTE in Germany
• The main office location is in Geesthacht, near to Hamburg
• Ability to work onsite at least 4 days per week.
