About the Role
Culmen is seeking a Chemist to support our mission in Lamdshuhl, Germany.
The Chemist supports analytical chemistry operations, environmental testing, laboratory research, and quality assurance programs. The incumbent conducts chemical analyses using advanced instrumentation and supports scientific investigations relevant to military health and environmental surveillance.
What You'll Do in Your New Role
- Perform chemical analyses using chromatography, spectroscopy, and other analytical methods.
- Prepare and process laboratory samples.
- Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation.
- Review and validate laboratory results.
- Prepare technical reports and research
- Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards and safety requirements.
- Support method development and validation activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field.
- 5+years of laboratory experience.
- Experience with environmental and food safety analyses using standard chemical methodologies.
- Knowledge of public health policies and regulations and the fundamental principles of chemistry,and practices applicable to the performance of chemical analyses including the operation ofvarious analyzer systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to pass a background screening.
- Fluent in English
Desired Qualifications
- Local Nationals residing in Germany
- Master's degree in a chemistry science discipline.
- Experience in environmental, toxicological, or military laboratory settings.
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
