Job Description

Detail-oriented intern supporting architectural and facilities planning activities, including analyzing floor plans, assisting with capacity calculations, and maintaining accurate building documentation. Works closely with Facilities Managers to organize as-built records, review space layouts, and support planning and design tasks while developing hands-on experience with CAD tools and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Core Activities
  • Assist in analyzing existing floor plans of Church owned and leased facilities, including calculating and documenting building capacity based on established criteria.
  • Review and help verify floor plan areas, including gross internal and gross external measurements.
  • Support the organization and maintenance of accurate as built documentation in collaboration with Facilities Managers and area staff.
  • Prepare and organize architectural information to support facility planning and operations.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and well structured.


Additional Activities
  • Support the review of proposed lease properties, including capacity calculations and documentation.
  • Assist in evaluating lease buildout scopes prepared by consultants for accuracy and alignment with standards.
  • Contribute to the development or revision of floor plans and simple design updates.
  • Help prepare Site Development Plans in line with design standards and local regulations.
  • Perform basic drafting or editing tasks using CAD tools where applicable.


Qualifications

  • Currently studying (or recently graduated in) Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in architectural planning, facilities management, and technical documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Detail oriented, methodical, and organized approach to work.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and processes, especially CAD software.
  • Strong communication skills in English and ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy, accountability, and commitment to quality work.

Candidates must be based in the Frankfurt area, as regular on-site attendance at the office is required. Please note that relocation support is not provided for this position.
