Job Description:

The Senior Demand Planner will be instrumental in ensuring the overall quality and integrity of the consensus demand plan for their assigned portfolio. Strong functional leadership and collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Finance will be needed to consolidate the best business intelligence and to highlight potential risks and opportunities.

It will be critical to drive performance by leading the adherence to standard work processes and the use of optimized data and analytics. As a key functional expert, the Senior Demand Planner will own key improvement actions within the cluster, mentoring colleagues and enhancing performance across our processes and tools.

What are we looking for?
  • 3+ years of supply chain experience, with demonstrated performance in demand planning processes.
  • Educated to a minimum of degree level.
  • Digitally savvy and strong learning agility with process and systems - experience with Mars' existing systems landscape would be an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate comfortably with Senior Leadership at a Market/Cluster level.
  • An associate who delivers consistent results, creates collaborative relationships, and maintains a strong customer focus.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and an end-to-end supply chain awareness.

What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Take accountability for the overall quality and integrity of the consensus forecast for your portfolio, ensuring the full use of statistical tools and business intelligence by the team.
  • Represent your portfolio in the demand planning alignment process ( S&OE, S&OP feeder meeting), ensuring all required information is prepared for the Demand Management Review (DMR).
  • Lead performance against Demand KPIs for your area, analyzing results and developing action plans in partnership with the cluster demand planning team.
  • Lead continuous improvement in process designs, capability building within the team and multifunctional collaboration
  • Champion the use of standard work processes for building blocks and the identification of Risks & Opportunities.
  • Assess trends, risks, and opportunities in close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Ensure strong process collaboration with the Supply Planning team by monitoring forecast consumption and escalating short-term issues.
  • Provide process governance for Innovation/Renovation programs, driving rigor in building blocks and forecast changes to mitigate NQC risk.
  • Act as a functional expert, coaching other demand planners to share knowledge and help drive best-in-class performance.
