Job description
As a member of the quality team, the Quality and Configuration Manager will:
• Ensure that all enforceable regulations are applied in daily work, particularly Part 21G and EN9100, as well as procedures from Safran Aircraft Engines or the airframer.
• Participate in internal and external audits, manage corrective actions following audits, and ensure that all FAL (Final Assembly Line) processes are understood and followed by the FAL team.
• Update quality indicators.
• Prepare and participate in quality inspections of engines with the airframer and with airline representatives.
• Issue supplementary EASA Form 1 certificates for engines and complete delivery documentation.
• Ensure that all interventions on engines are performed according to defined processes and are properly recorded; maintain accurate tracking of engine configuration changes.
• Track all non-quality events and configuration events, and lead root cause analysis when necessary.
• The Quality / Configuration Manager serves as the main point of contact for all Quality Assurance topics for the FAL team and the Safran Aircraft Engines quality organization.
Candidate skills & requirements
• Significant experience in production quality, program quality, or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) quality within the aeronautics sector is recommended.
• Knowledge of PART 21G, PART 66, or PART 145 regulations is preferred.
• Familiarity with health and environmental regulations is a plus.
• Experience in jet engine manufacturing or aircraft manufacturing is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Airbus quality tools such as e-QLB or SAP-PDA is a plus.
• Technical English is mandatory; fluency in spoken and written English is required.
• Ability to communicate in French or German is a plus.
