Kraken Robotics is currently seeking a Materials Planning and Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Rostock, Germany.
The Materials Planning and Supply Chain Manager oversees the procurement and distribution of materials in a company. Responsibilities include inventory management, supplier negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. Tasks involve strategic planning, forecasting, and supply chain optimization.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for materials planning to ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, logistics, and procurement to forecast demand and plan inventory levels
- Monitor supply chain performance metrics and take corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy and reduce lead times
- Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are met
- Identify and mitigate risks to the materials supply chain, including potential shortages or disruptions
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize materials planning processes and systems
- Provide regular reports and updates on materials planning activities to senior management
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to materials planning and procurement
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field
- Professional Certification: CPIM, PLOG or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years working in a Production Environment
- Proven experience in materials planning and inventory management
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to develop and implement materials planning strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs
- Proficiency in using materials planning software and ERP systems. NetSuite ideally
- Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in materials planning and inventory management
- Ability to manage and lead a team of materials planners and analysts.
- Proficient in German and English
