Legal Counsel (f/m/d) - limited to 12 months

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our EU Legal Department as part of the Business Legal International team. The job is based in Frankfurt. In this role, you will act as a central interface between the business, internal functions, and external contractual partners. You will contribute to a dynamic environment shaped by continuous technological advancements and the integration of new digital features.

What you will do

• Provide legal advice on a broad range of commercial, regulatory, and contractual matters across different regions
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, including distribution agreements, master
• Services agreements (MSAs), service contracts, and investment management agreements
• Support cross-functional projects with business, infrastructure, and compliance teams
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments in German and European law relevant to
• Asset management and financial services, such as cross-border distribution, the DLT Pilot
• Regime, and product governance requirements
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to ensure legal risk is appropriately managed
• Contribute to the development and refinement of internal legal policies and templates
• Provide targeted support to other teams within the EU Legal Department as needed

What you bring

• Fully qualified German lawyer (Erstes und Zweites Staatsexamen)
• Strong knowledge of German and European commercial and capital markets law
• Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Fluent in English, with proven ability to work in an international environment
• Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills
• Interest in legal tech and AI tools is a plus
• AI skills such as Microsoft CoPilot
