Join our Construction Execution team as a Senior Construction Manager where you will lead strategic, complex construction projects that shape Amazon's infrastructure future. You will oversee critical construction programs from conception to completion, with a focus on delivery stations and fulfillment centers across EMEA. This role combines construction engineering, project management, and leadership skills to drive successful program delivery. Working with diverse teams across multiple locations, you'll be responsible for developing project strategies, managing portfolios, influencing organizational standards, and delivering high-quality construction projects that meet Amazon's expanding needs.

Would you like an opportunity to travel and work in multiple EU countries and cultures? The role will be based in Germany with 50% of time traveling either domestically within the country or to other EMEA countries.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead and develop strategies for complex construction programs from conception to completion

• Drive design management and engineering oversight with strategic precision

• Develop and execute project strategies with optimal resource allocation across multiple projects

• Manage program budgets, spend approvals, and strategic external partner relationships

• Establish and maintain rigorous quality control systems and standardized processes

• Lead complex solution design development and direct permitting strategies across multiple regions

• Oversee capital asset planning and establish strategic relationships with authorities and key stakeholders

• Influence organizational construction standards and best practices

• Mentor construction managers and project teams

• Make strategic decisions that impact regional construction delivery

Your day is a dynamic blend of strategic planning and leadership. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor project professionals, and navigate complex construction challenges across multiple countries. From morning program reviews to on-site inspections and stakeholder negotiations, every day brings new opportunities to make a significant organizational impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience managing a team

- Experience in all aspects of the commercial TI design and construction process

- Experience in management of construction quality systems

- Proficient user in English (C1) and local language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in managing cool chains, refrigeration equipment and installations, temperature-controlled environments are considered a strong plus

- French, German, Polish, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish, Chinese (Mandarin), Afrikaans and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications.
