The Department of Neurobiology at the School of Biology/Chemistry is seeking to appoint a
Research Assistant (m/f/d)
(salary grade E 13 TV-L, 65%)


to commence on September 1, 2026. The position is limited for three years.

Your Duties:
  • Participate in a DFG project to elucidate cellular mechanisms of Alzheimer's disease including the use of induced pluripotent stem cells, live cell microscopy and image analysis (Nat. Commun. 2024, 15:1679; Nat. Commun. 2025, 16:8756; Transl. Psychiatry 2026, 16:223)
  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work towards a PhD

Requirement:
  • Completed degree (M.Sc.) in biology or a related field

Additional Qualifications:
  • High motivation
  • Background or experience in molecular biology techniques, neuronal cell culture and computer-assisted data analysis
  • Good English skills and willingness to work in an international team
