We design the ecommerce experience . Our Design Team sets the creative standard for digital assets across the e-commerce customer journey. We partner with some of the world's most exciting brands, from fast-moving DTC labels to global retail giants, and we take the craft seriously.

We're looking for a Team Lead Design (Art Director) (f/m/d) who brings both vision and structure: someone who can elevate a growing team, shape brand-led creative, and drive measurable results. This role sits at the intersection of creative leadership and hands-on execution. You'll work closely with our Creative Director on overall strategy while owning day-to-day quality, mentorship, and client-facing creative work.

How would you spend your time if you join us?

  • You lead the visual direction for e-commerce clients, primarily Amazon and global retail platform, ensuring every touchpoint is on-brand, conversion-optimised, and creatively excellent.

  • You lead and develop a growing team of designers: give direction, foster craft, and create an environment where people do their best work

  • You develop initial concepts and elevate work - yours and others' - into high-quality, performance-driven visuals

  • You stay hands-on as a designer: You don't just direct - you design. You actively contribute to projects and set the quality bar through your own work.

  • You collaborate with the Creative Director to translate business goals into creative strategy

  • You own brand consistency across all visual touch points for multiple client accounts

  • You present design strategies confidently to clients and act as a creative thought partner in the room

  • You bring a holistic perspective on visual communication, understanding how design and copy work together

  • You stay ahead of emerging tools - especially in the AI design space - and integrate them into the team's workflow

Requirements

  • Experience

    • 5+ years in senior design roles, ideally in a digital agency

    • Proven track record leading creative projects end-to-end

    • Initial experience in managing or mentoring a creative team

    • Familiarity with the German agency landscape is a plus

  • Skills & craft

    • Sharp eye for detail and consistently high design standards

    • Strong portfolio: brand-led, performance-driven work

    • Solid grasp of e-commerce design principles and conversion impact

    • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Tools & languages

    • Expert-level proficiency in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.

    • Hands-on experience with AI design tools (e.g.,Gemini (Imagen), Kive.ai, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, ...what's next?)

    • Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage for client communication.
