Known for its open kitchen concept, this small yet bustling establishment offers a unique dining experience where guests can enjoy the visual artistry of food preparation. The restaurant's menu is a delightful mix of traditional Japanese sushi, creative fusion dishes, and other Asian-inspired cuisine, designed to cater to diverse palates. The restaurant is celebrated for its high-quality, freshly prepared dishes such as Tatars with tuna or salmon, Maki rolls including the popular Salmon Crunch and Tuna Crunch, and an array of Uramaki rolls like Chicken Teriyaki and Flamed Tuna Roll. The menu also features Fried Rolls and Poke Bowls, providing a comprehensive selection that blends classic flavors with innovative culinary twists. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Sushi Chef with a minimum of 5- 7 years in the industry to take on a crucial role within this dynamic restaurant. This is a standalone position where you will be the primary Sushi Chef, responsible for everything from prep work to plating dishes, ensuring both speed and precision, particularly during busy service hours. You will also need to manage the demands of the restaurant's delivery service, ensuring that each dish maintains its high quality and presentation even when ordered to-go. While you will be mostly working independently, an additional chef will be available to assist during peak times. This role demands not only culinary expertise but also efficiency, as the restaurant enjoys a steady stream of orders, especially during peak hours. Preparation & Cooking: Oversee the sushi station, managing all tasks from ingredient preparation to the final presentation of dishes, ensuring they meet the restaurant's standards. Plating & Presentation: Create visually appealing sushi dishes, maintaining consistency in quality and presentation, whether for in-house dining or delivery. Speed & Efficiency: Work quickly without compromising quality, particularly during busy periods, to meet both in-house and delivery demands. Menu Contribution: Collaborate with the head chef to innovate and contribute ideas for the sushi menu, including seasonal specials. Kitchen Operations: Maintain a clean, organized sushi station within the open kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Customer Interaction: Engage with guests as they observe the open kitchen, enhancing their dining experience with your culinary skill and knowledge. Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Sushi Chef, ideally in Asian fusion or high-paced environments. Mastery of sushi techniques, including knife skills, fish preparation, and rice cooking. Proven ability to work efficiently, maintaining high standards even under pressure. Experience in managing a sushi station independently, including handling busy service times. Flexibility to work a 6-day week, with one day off depending on restaurant bookings. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with guests in a professional manner. Benefits Working days & Days off: 6+1 ( 5+ 2 ) when there is not so much work or low season Split Shift: 12 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Competitive salary of 2,500 EUR/Net per month. Accommodation Shared flat with another Chef, Private bedroom, shared bathroom and kitchen provided at a cost of 350 EUR rent + 50 EUR bills per month The Flat is 2,5 km away from the restaurant ( bus stop available 50 m from the restaurant to take you directly to the Restaurant - 8 minute Drive ) 1-year contract with the possibility of extension.
