Transdev GmbH is looking for an HR expert/ Drivers Management in Duisburg, Germany.
Short-Term Assignment
Short term assignments are encouraged by the group to create opportunities for those who are willing to experiment the group in a wider dimension, grow their background and contribute to further develop our international culture.
Short term assignment spans from 1 month to 12 months. Short term assignees revert to their home country after their STA is completed.
All along the STA, assignees benefit from a coordinated follow up by the host country, the home country and the Group corporate HR teams.

Destination/ Roadmap
In Germany from 1998, Transdev is the leading private rail passenger's operator and has helped to revitalize certain regions by deploying services that are better adapted to passengers' needs. We operate 20 Operation & Maintenance contracts, totalizing 55 million train km for 118 million passengers per year. The fleet is composed of 472 trainsets.
We are looking for an HR expert/ Drivers Management lasting between 4 to 8 weeks in Duisburg, Germany.
Work environment
Project 1: Driver Recruitment Analysis
- This project would support our initiative to bridge the current driver shortage gap.
Project 2: Driver Retention and Productivity
- The second part of the assignment would involve working closely with our local operations team.
Key Responsibilities
Key objectives for project 1 would involve:
- Analyzing the regional labor market to identify potential candidates for driver training.
- Reviewing the effectiveness of our current recruiting tools and campaigns in reaching these candidates.
- Assessing recruitment strategies used by local competitors, including those in related industries.
- Leveraging international best practices from Transdev to enhance our recruitment strategies.
Key objectives for project 2 would involve:
- An in-depth review of the factors contributing to high driver turnover at TDRR.
- Providing recommendations based on retention best practices and identifying which measures could be most effectively implemented at our site.
- Additionally, another possible area of focus within this assignment could involve:
- Conducting a detailed review of driver productivity metrics (e.g., attendance rates, holidays, sick leave) throughout the year.
- Developing strategies to address fluctuations in driver demand, particularly during peak seasons in summer and winter, possibly through targeted incentives or adjustments
