As part of this master's thesis with a pre-internship, youwill investigate the influence of siloxane vapours on electrical relays. Therole combines hands-on experiments, technical analysis and the development ofmeasures to increase reliability in electronics manufacturing.
- Hands-on Experiments: You will carry out practicalinvestigations on electrical relays exposed to siloxane vapours and evaluatethe effects on their function.
- Literature Research and Familiarization: Part of yourwork will be to familiarize yourself with the current state of the art inprocess technologies, materials and design approaches.
- Standardized Test Procedure: You will optimize anexisting test setup in order to establish a more standardized test procedure.
- Material and Process Analysis: Your responsibilitieswill also include material analysis and the characterization of volatilesiloxanes.
- Optimization Potentials: You will identify promising approaches for cost reduction and efficiencyimprovement in electronics manufacturing and derive countermeasures to increasereliability.
