Overview:
We are looking for a Director People & Culture (m/f/d) to support our employees from recruiting to development, and to strategically and operationally establish and expand our HR function.
Your Responsibilities:
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Design and conduct structured onboarding programs to integrate new employees effectively.
- Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews, feedback evaluations, and process improvements.
Employee Development & Culture
- Develop and implement training and development programs to foster sustainable growth among team members.
- Actively shape a positive corporate culture by promoting team-building activities, a strong feedback culture, and high employee satisfaction.
Support & Advice
- Act as the central point of contact for managers and employees on all HR-related and labor-law issues.
- Develop HR guidelines and processes (e.g., vacation policies, working time models, compensation and bonus structures).
Strategic Expansion of the HR Function
- Gradually build an HR team, including recruiting, onboarding, and developing new colleagues.
- Collaborate closely with management and other departments to devise a future-oriented people strategy.
Education & Experience
- Completed degree (e.g., in Business Administration, Psychology, HR Management) or comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in HR, ideally in a fast-paced environment (startup, tech company, etc.).
Professional Competencies
- Solid knowledge of labor and social security law. Experience in recruiting and employee development, ideally with a focus on employer branding and cultural initiatives.
Soft Skills
- Hands-on mentality and a high degree of initiative.Strong communication skills, empathy, and enjoyment in working with people.
- Structured, solution-oriented work style and the ability to build and advance processes independently.
- Excellent German and English skills (spoken and written).
Perspective
- Motivation to shape and scale the HR function strategically.
- Enthusiasm for working in a tech-driven environment with flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths.
Our interview plan:
- Application
- Cultural fit interview (40 min): A conversation about how you work, what motivates you, and what you're looking for. Expect CV highlights, your "why," and time for your questions.
- Take-home assignment: You'll complete a short, role-relevant task with clear instructions and a deadline.
- Interview with CEO (30-45 min): A discussion on vision, impact, and how the role connects to company priorities.
- On-site visit: Meet the team at our office and collaborate on a real challenge similar to the work you'd do here. You'll get a clear feel for the environment and ways of working.
- External interview: Speak with an external partner or advisor for an independent perspective on your skills and fit.
